Professor Yamil Velez has received a major grant for his project "Gentrification and Political Displacement," which will construct a multi-year panel data set to analyze the long-term effects of gentrification on urban politics.
The grant is one of eighteen awarded by the Russell Sage Foundation, in partnership with the Economic Mobility and Opportunity program at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
