The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences has profiled two department alumni.
Robert Richter, an independent documentary film producer, earned the M.A. in 1964. As a CBS News Fellow, he enrolled at GSAS to help organize his thinking about how the federal government works and how to communicate to the public through documentaries.

Carolina Ferrerosa Young is Future of Work Policy Advisor in the Office of U.S. Senator R. Mark Warner. She entered the Ph.D. program with a National Science Foundation graduate research award to study political representation and policy responsiveness to underrepresented groups.
