Ikhyun Lim is a PhD student in Political Science at Columbia University, specializing in political theory. His research focuses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century political thought, particularly the works of Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Wittgenstein, as well as post-anthropocentric approaches to moral and political theory. His dissertation develops a theory of political activity in an age of animals and machines, drawing primarily on the works of Heidegger and Wittgenstein.
Prior to joining Columbia, he earned an MA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a double BA in Political Science and Philosophy, summa cum laude, from Seoul National University.
