David Lawrence is an M.A. candidate in political science, concentrating in American politics. His research examines political behavior and local politics.
Mr. Lawrence graduated summa cum laude in May 2025 with a B.A. in political science and minors in history and philosophy from George Washington University. He received two scholarships from Pi Sigma Alpha in recognition of his leadership as president of the Eta Beta chapter. He has held internships in both the United States Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as in finance with Eckert & Associates and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Michael Hankinson. At Columbia, he serves as a teaching assistant for Introduction to American Politics.
