Disha Ghatak is a second-year Ph.D. student in political science. Her research interests include the political economy of state capacity, public goods provision, and socio-economic inequality. She is also interested in decentralized governance in the developing world, with a focus on South Asia.
Ms. Ghatak earned a B.A. in economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in 2021, and an M.A. in political economy from the University of Essex, Colchester, in 2023.
