Beenish Riaz is a Ph.D. student in political science, specializing in international relations. Her research interests center on international law, religion, conflict, and global justice.
Ms. Riaz previously worked as a lawyer for the Ford Foundation. She has also served as an Arthur Helton Global Human Rights Fellow, an International Law and Human Rights Fellow, and a special legal rapporteur for the American Bar Association's Rule of Law Initiative. She holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, in political science and English from Macalester College.
