A talk by Piero Ignazi, Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Bologna: "Parties' Legitimacy at Stake: Considerations on the Long Journey and the Present Status of Political Parties, with Particular Reference to Western Europe." The talk will be based on Professor Ignazi's new book, "Party and Democracy: The Uneven Road to Party Legitimacy." John Ferejohn of New York University will be the discussant.
