International Affairs Building, 420 W. 118 St., New York, NY 10027 Lindsay Rogers Room, 7th Floor
In his new book, RIP GOP, Stanley B. Greenberg argues that the 2016 election hurried the party's imminent demise. Using insights from his focus groups with real people and surprising revelations from his own polls, Greenberg shows why the GOP is losing its defining battle. He explores why the 2018 election, when the New America fought back, was no fluke. And he predicts that in 2020 the party of Lincoln will be left to the survivors, opening up America to a new era of renewal and progress. Copies of RIP GOP will be available for sale at the lecture. The Dona and Carol Hamilton Distinguished Lecture Series was established by Charles Hamilton, Professor Emeritus of Political Science, as an annual event to honor the life and work of his late wife, Dona, and daughter, Carol. Stanley B. Greenberg is a New York Times best-selling author and polling adviser to presidents, prime ministers, and CEO's of global corporations including Boeing, Microsoft, and BP.
