Yu Cheng is a Ph.D. student in Columbia's Political Science department. Specializing in comparative politics, his research focuses on the role of political elites in driving development and the cross-regional comparison of major political transitions.
Prior to Columbia, he received his B.Sc. in Global China Studies - Social Science with first-class honors from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
