Patrick Liu is a Ph.D. candidate in political science, specializing in political behavior and American politics. His research examines the conditions under which political attitudes undergo lasting change. His current work uses tailored experimental designs to reevaluate canonical theories in political psychology and examines questions about social influence, partisan identity, and policy feedback.
Mr. Liu's work has been published in the American Political Science Review and supported by the Civic Health and Institutions Project, Columbia's Office of the Provost, and the Columbia Experimental Laboratory for Social Sciences. He earned a B.A. in philosophy, politics, and economics from Pomona College.
