Martin Devaux is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science specializing in comparative politics. His primary substantive interest is in the political economy of poverty in advanced democracies. His methodological interests include the use and development of machine learning methods applied to issues of causal inference and external validity.
Mr. Devaux previously worked as an Associate at IDinsight, a social impact-driven global nonprofit. He holds a master in public administration (M.P.A.) with distinction from the London School of Economics and a master in public policy (M.P.P.) from Sciences Po, as well as two bachelor of arts (B.A.) degrees in economics from Sciences Po and Keio University, Tokyo.
