Biography
Linda Kirschke (Ph.D., Politics, Princeton University) works on armed conflict during periods of regime change. Her book project, Playing the Ethnic Card: Party Networks and Violence During Democratization, draws on fieldwork in Serbia and Romania. She has conducted fieldwork in West, Central and East Africa and is the author of Broadcasting Genocide: Censorship, Propaganda & State-Sponsored Violence in Rwanda (1990-1994). Her articles have appeared in Comparative Political Studies and The Journal of Modern African Studies.
Kirschke has held visiting fellowships at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC, the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, the Joan B. Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame and the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) at Stanford University.
