Heewon Yoon is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University, studying comparative politics. Her primary research interests are in elections and legislative behavior. She examines how parties strategically adopt new electoral rules to manipulate the electoral environment.
Ms.Yoon received an M.A. and B.A. in political science from Korea University. Before joining Columbia, she worked as an intern at the National Assembly of South Korea and the Sejong Institute. Her research has been funded by the Korean Foundation for Advanced Studies and the Weatherhead Institute.
