Emily Young Carr

Research Interest

Emily Young Carr is a Ph.D. student in international relations and security studies with research interests in interstate war, U.S. and Chinese foreign policy, and public opinion. She also has a regional focus on China and the Indo-Pacific. Her dissertation examines the sources of state-level variation in popular response to invasion. 

Ms. Carr holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and studied at Tsinghua University’s IUP Chinese Center. She previously worked at the American Enterprise Institute and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
