Beenish Riaz is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science specializing in international relations. Her primary substantive interest is in international law, international organizations, and global justice.
Ms. Riaz previously worked as a lawyer for the Ford Foundation. She has also served as an Arthur Helton Global Human Rights Fellow, an International Law and Human Rights Fellow, and a Special Legal Rapporteur for the American Bar Association's Rule of Law Initiative. She holds a J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law and a B.A. summa cum laude in political science and English from Macalester College.
