Alec Ewig

Research Interest

Alec Ewig is a Ph.D. student in political science at Columbia University, specializing in American politics. His research focuses on political behavior and psychology, public opinion, polarization, quantitative methods, and U.S. perspectives on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Mr. Ewig is particularly interested in how political institutions create incentive structures that influence and shape political behaviors.

Mr. Ewig holds a B.A. in political science and economics from Columbia University and an M.A. in political psychology from Stony Brook University. Before pursuing his doctorate, he gained experience in political polling and Middle East conflict resolution, including serving as the Director of Data and Analytics at J Street during the late 2010s.
