Alec Ewig

Research Interest

Alec Ewig is a PhD student in Political Science specializing in American politics. His primary research interests include political behavior and psychology, public opinion, polarization, survey methodology, and U.S. opinions on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Alec is especially interested in exploring how political institutions create incentive structures that shape and modify expressed political behaviors.

Prior to becoming a PhD student, Alec received a B.A. from Columbia in Political Science and Economics and an M.A. from Stony Brook in Political Psychology. He also worked in the political polling and Middle East conflict resolution fields, including serving as the Director of Data and Analytics at J Street in the late 2010's.
