Young Voices New Dreams: Discussion with Director followed by film screening

Young Voices New Dreams is a documentary film on the stories and aspirations of street children and HIV/AIDS affected women from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The film examines the link between children's rights and women's rights; as well as child labor, education, HIV/AIDS and migration. Menen Hailu is a graduate of Columbia University with a Masters in Human Rights, concentrating on child rights and women’s rights. Her previous research includes women living with HIV/AIDS and discrimination with the Ethiopian Women Lawyers. She has also worked with Mothers and Children Multi-Sectoral Development Organization (MCMDO), Ethiopia. Pizza will be served.
