Please join us for a discussion with Professor Lara Nettelfield on Researching the Refugee Crisis. Professor Nettelfield recently returned from Greece where she was working on a new research project about the refugee crisis titled The New Humanitarians. She will discuss her interviews there, in addition to how this trip was different from other fieldwork she has conducted in places like Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the US-Mexico border. Professor Nettelfield is author of Courting Democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and co-author of Srebrenica in the Aftermath of Genocide (Cambridge University Press). She is Senior Lecturer in Human Rights with the Institute for the Study of Human Rights and teaches Refugees, Forced Migration and Displacement and the Human Rights Research Seminar.
