Mr. McAlexander is a fifth year Ph.D. Candidate specializing in International Relations. His primary interests are in political violence, terrorism, nonviolent resistance, and imperialism. His dissertation, “The Politics of Anticolonial Resistance: Violence, Nonviolence and the Erosion of Empire”, studies how the British empire responded to different forms of resistance in its colonies. Mr. McAlexander's research has appeared in the Journal of Global Security Studies and Cold War History.
