Mr. McAlexander is a fifth year Ph.D. Candidate specializing in International Relations. His primary interests are in political violence, terrorism, nonviolent resistance, and imperialism. His dissertation, “The Politics of Anticolonial Resistance: Violence, Nonviolence and the Erosion of Empire”, studies how the British empire responded to different forms of resistance in its colonies. Mr. McAlexander's research has appeared in Research & Politics, The Journal of Politics, the Journal of Global Security StudiesCold War History, and Review of Policy Research.
