Julia’s main research interests are in gender, inequality, and participation in Latin America.
In particular, she is interested in comparative behavioral analyses of gender gaps in participation and political opinion. Ms. Rubio aims to understand the causes behind different levels of gender inequality across Latin American countries.
She has also worked on projects related to electoral behavior, political parties, party systems and identity in the region.
Ms. Rubio has worked for different governmental institutions in Argentina as a technical assistant and has participated in different research projects in Spanish, Argentine and American Universities.
