Joshua Phillips is a M.A. student in the Department of Political Science specializing in International Relations and American Politics. Mr. Phillips’ research interests include International Security and American foreign policy. Joshua received his B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
Prior to studying at Columbia, Mr. Phillips was a small business owner working in asset management. From 2005 to 2009, Joshua was a member of the United States Army as an Infantryman, deploying to Iraq from December 2007 to March 2009, and completing over 100 combat missions. For his time in the military Mr. Phillips was awarded: Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Iraqi Campaign Service Medal with Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and other various awards.
