Jessica Marie Balistreri is a master of arts candidate in the Department of Political Science. Ms. Balistreri has a passion for social and economic justice and specializes in comparative politics, examining topics such as the social spillovers of improvements in economic policy. Her recent work examines how improvements in institutions and policies that implement social programs hold the potential to cause improvements in labor market outcomes.
Ms. Balistreri earned her bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas with a minor in Brookings Public Policy. She is an alumna of the TRIO McNair Scholars Institute. She is also an alumna of the Horatio Alger Scholars Association.
