Biography
Hayley Cohen is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University specializing in American politics. Her research interests are political behavior, public opinion, political parties, and local politics. Her dissertation work focuses on elite and voter behavior in partisan primaries using field experiments, surveys, and qualitative research methods. Other work focuses on voter turnout and registration writ large, the behavior of minority voters, and the behavior of voters in local politics.
Ms. Cohen received her B.A. (magna cum laude) in political science from Tufts University. Prior to enrolling at Columbia, she worked in political polling.
