David J. Sutton is an M.A. candidate at Columbia University and a Teaching Assistant at Barnard College. His research interests include constitutional history and interpretation, election law, voting behavior, and the Supreme Court. He earned his B.A. cum laude in Political Science, with a minor in History, at the City University of New York's Brooklyn College. In the Fall of 2019 he will begin working on his Ph.D. in Government at Harvard University.
Prior to beginning his college career, Mr. Sutton served for five years in the United States Marine Corps. His military service includes billets as team leader for a signals intelligence unit while deployed to Iraq and Spanish Language Program Manager of 2nd Radio Battalion at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
