Biography
David Simpson is a political science doctoral student at Columbia University. He is specializing in American politics and quantitative methods, and his current research focuses are US national politics, state and local politics, fiscal federalism, and socioeconomic and racial inequality.
Mr. Simpson graduated from The University of Alabama in 2012 with a B.A. in political science and economics. He also holds a MPP from The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and a M.A. in economics from Columbia University. Prior to joining the political science program at Columbia, he worked as a high school teacher in Montgomery, AL and as the fiscal analyst for the Baltimore City Council in Baltimore, MD.
