Daryl Leong is an M.A. candidate in Political Science at Columbia University. Born and raised in Malaysia, Mr. Leong has had the fortune of receiving his education in Kuala Lumpur, Kent, Los Angeles, Beijing, and presently in New York. His primary area of research rests in the comparative examination of public policies that aim to facilitate racial and religious integration via structural economic incentives in conflict prone multi-ethnic societies.
Prior to Columbia, Mr. Leong graduated from UCLA with a double major and minor in economics, political science, and philosophy. He has catered his drive for perpetual learning through experiences from a wide array of fields including university and professional academic research, investment banking, political office, and political consultancy.
Mr. Leong hopes to engage in Malaysian politics in the near future.
