Anezka is a M.A student in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University. Her research interests are centred around international relations, comparative politics, and history. She is particularly interested in peace and conflict studies, as well as the culturally and structurally ingrained role of narratives in perpetuating conflicts. She has studied and is interested in further studying these dynamics in Eastern Europe and Russia, South Asia, and parts of the MENA region.
Ms. Ferreira has a MA in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews in Scotland where her honours dissertation, Strategies of Political Persuasion: Propaganda and the Marian Civil War focused on unveiling the role of historic narratives in perpetuating violent conflict. Before joining Columbia, she has worked in the public and non-profit sectors.
