Ana Varvara Trif is an M.A. student in the Political Science department specializing in American Politics. Her research interests include public opinion, courts and the legal process, election strategy, and voting behavior.
Ms. Varvara Trif graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology from NYU in 2020, where she received the Founders Day Award and was a member of the Presidential Honors Scholars Program. She is a recipient of the Dean’s Undergraduate Research Fund (DURF) Grant, which she used for her thesis titled “Does locus of control predict emotional reactions in the context of economic inequality”, an exploration of the interaction between emotion, the psychology of economic inequality, and perception of control through the lens of social comparison theory.
