Egor Lazarev is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Political Science at Columbia University, specializing in comparative politics. His research focuses on the issues in political psychology, ethnic politics and political economy of development. He conducted field research in the North Caucasus, Central Asia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Before entering graduate school, Egor was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research at the Higher School of Economics (Russia) and a Carnegie Visiting Fellow at the Center for Political Studies at the University of Michigan.
Egor graduated with distinction from St. Petersburg State University.
