Lax on Supreme Court Vacancy

Columbia News interviewed Professor Jeffrey Lax for its "5 Questions" series on the subject of filling the Supreme Court vacancy created by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.

Lax's research interests focus on the U.S. Supreme Court and the influence of public opinion on public policy. He and colleagues have done extensive research on the confirmation of Supreme Court justices, which is timely as the Senate must now respond to President Obama's nomination of Merrick B. Garland to fill the vacant seat.
