The departmental thesis is designed to allow a student to investigate a political science research topic in great detail during his or her final two semesters. Students who would like to write a thesis should begin thinking about an appropriate research topic and begin making contact with an intended adviser no later than the spring of junior year.
Students may write theses in a subject outside of students' major subfield. However, students must choose a thesis adviser who specializes in the subfield that corresponds to the intended thesis topic.
Students who are engaged in writing a thesis should contact the Undergraduate Program Coordinator, who will facilitate registration for the appropriate course from among those listed below.
